Cow Parade Surrey Hills

Have a Butchers: my new and very exciting commission from Waitrose and Surrey Hills Arts for the 2016 Surrey Hills Cow Parade.

Brief – to decorate the cow in-keeping with the idea of butcher’s cuts.

Keeping it family-friendly for its large audience, bold of colour whilst also showing the hand-crafted illustrative feel. Working massively outside of my comfort zone, this was a challenging project and I literally grabbed the ‘she-bull’ by the horns.

For more information, take a look at the Cow Parade Surrey Hills website.

Illustrations for Studio Juice’s client Adidas. The brief from Studio Juice was to lovingly produce a Cityscape and Map of Leeds for their client Adidas’s new store which opened at Size? in Leeds. The illustrations were applied to the main shop window, changing room walls and a suite of promotional marketing material. Photography courtesy of Studio Juice.

Nerdbird for Storybird

Posted on: December 2nd, 2014 by Matt No Comments

Storybird is an online tool for creating short, art-inspired stories for sharing, reading and printing. A fun brief from them saw me drawing my old favourites – birds – for a set of promotional T-shirts. Image modelled by a young Canadian participant and kindly supplied by the client.

Previous work has included a website & mug illustration for Storybird. The illustration had to be fun, light-hearted and had to show their story-telling side.

JLL / L&Co

A set of 15 illustrations depicting the central business districts of international cities in which JLL operate. The project was commissioned by L&Co on behalf of their client JLL. The illustrations will be used on the home page of the relevant country’s website to set the scene and give the page a nice bit of relevance to the audience.

It was a piece of work which took two years and the cities drawn included Baltimore, Berlin, London, Paris, São Paulo, Sydney and Tokyo.
